We messed with the bloodlines before…

By Robert Jacobus

I have to admit, I have been simultaneously fascinated and uncomfortable with mRNA technology being injected in folks around the world.  Like most breakthroughs in scientific discovery, the noble impulse to save and make lives better allow room for more sinister uses and catastrophic outcomes (unintentional or otherwise).

Pandora’s Box has flown open as Wired Magazine reports six more mRNA injections are in the COVID pipeline AND this technology of altering human cell structure stands at the precipice of overtaking traditional attenuated (dead virus) vaccinations.

“HIV, Nipah, Zika, herpes, dengue, hepatitis and malaria have all been announced.” How long until all childhood vaccinations are replaced with injections that few parents understand?

The CDC recommended vaccination schedule recommends over 14 vaccines (multiple doses for most) before 15 months and at least six more (plus continuing doses) through 18 years.  Immunization from baby to adulthood could see more than 20 mRNA injections changing the structure of some of your cells to generate an immune response that essentially gets the body to attack itself – again, again, and again.

For the adherent Jew or Christian who lives in the religious tradition of movements that base entire ministries upon providing health care and are the impulse for founding  hospitals across the USA, we celebrate treatments and new therapeutics.

But as the late author Michael Crichton in his fictional Jurassic Park declared, “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think whether they should.”

We needed to develop a genetics moral line yesterday. There is a deep theological and moral principle woven into the stories of Scripture about the sanctity of the human design. The God of Israel is supremely interested in preserving the integrity of the biological structure and bloodlines of humanity.

Extermination of the Earth – Millenia held (albeit not universally accepted) Jewish and Christian theological understanding of Genesis 6:1-12 reveals the punishment of Noah’s flood was in part because supernatural beings (Elohim) mated with human women to produce biologically perverse offspring – the Nephilim, or translated, Giants.

Verse 9 furthers the argument by declaring Noah was perfect in his generations (genealogy). This perfection was a precursor to restoring the human race to post-flood dominance and for the Christian the necessary purity of bloodline to produce the foretold Messiah in Jesus Christ.

Genocide of the Giants – Centuries later after God supernaturally freed the Jews from Egypt, we learned in Deuteronomy 2-4 He had ordered world events to destroy multiple nations/tribes of giants. The Emim were replaced by the Moabites.  The giant Horites were destroyed by Esau’s Edomites. The Zamzummin were destroyed and dispossessed by the Ammonites.

Then early in the Israeli conquest, God ordained the genocide of several (but not all) races occupying and surrounding the promised land. Notably, the Amorites and people of Bashan were giants and attacked by the Jews (Deut 3:6) until every man, woman and child was dead in over 60 cities east of the Jordan river.

After Joshua took over for Moses, the Israelites would exterminate the remaining giants until only those in the land of the Philistines (remember Goliath 400 years later?) remained (Joshua 11:22). God ultimately damned the Philistines to extinction as well (Amos 1:7-8).

Supernatural beings had altered the human bloodlines creating a new biological race of super-humans.  God was so full of wrath over this He flooded the earth and centuries later ordered genocide to end the perversion of his design.

It is irrelevant whether these stories are fables or literal. The moral lesson is clear. Do not alter the code of life or change the structure of humans. This act contributed to the among the harshest outpourings of God’s wrath in Biblical history.

Does the mRNA platform follow this same path of sin?

Granting the truthfulness of the proposition that Moderna and Pfizer leave your human DNA untouched and only temporarily change your RNA (the instructions that build the cell), these medicines contain programming that alter the structure of cells in the body to produce spike proteins that are not naturally occurring in humans.

On the Moderna website, “We are leveraging the central role that mRNA plays in human biology. mRNA medicines are sets of instructions that cells in the body use to make proteins to prevent or fight disease.”  The protein spike is a new structure that the mRNA “vaccine” codes your ribosomes to build at the cellular level.  Traditional vaccines present attenuated (dead) viruses for your immune system to attack and remember in your T-cells. mRNA literally changes the structure of some of your body’s cells for a short period of time.

I am uneasy about abandoning scientific breakthroughs. Gene therapy can be used to restore damage done to God’s original design. Imagine curing cancer or ending down’s syndrome by repairing and restoring an individual’s genetic damage to its original God given state.

Yet, these novel mRNA injections are not restorative. They are making changes to our blood, muscle, and by some reports, organs.

A Conclusion – In the terms of Judeo-Christian ethics – my thoughts are – this is the line that shall not be crossed. We must not alter the genetics, blood or structure of the human body in the short or long term.  The power to do this is breathtaking and violently condemned by the God of Israel in multiple points of human history.

The Promises of Pandora’s Box

Imagine parents in the next decade offered an injection for their unborn child that increases muscle density by 20% or strengthens the chromosome’s telomeres to move life expectancy to 150 years. Who wouldn’t want to birth a generation of super-men?

Even from a Biblical perspective, there is no report of a biological downside to birthing the Giants. They were regarded as the men of renown (or legendary warriors). They struck terror into the heart of Israelites who saw God supernaturally bring the world’s superpower, Egypt, to its knees.

As Robert Malone, one of the core contributors to the development of the mRNA platform has noted, we are essentially at iPhone 1 in terms of the tech.  We will get to iPhone 13 in short order, working out all the tech bugs we see today – vaccine deaths, injury, long haul symptoms. What is our moral stand then?

Religious Exemption has focused on the traditional objections of research on aborted fetal cell lines and vaccine injury & death. This is a totally new technology requiring a new moral and theological review.

Even beginning to discuss this line of moral reasoning today is not getting ahead of the curve, but a scramble to keep up with the technological developments at hand.

New Approach to Religious Exemption based on ancient moral principle:

We must develop a simple, persuasive, and compelling moral and theological position on changes to the “code of life” to be the conscience of science. In my church circles, we have developed a statement of religious exemption to launch the discussion and debate:

“The God of the Bible is jealous to protect the integrity of my physical body on the genetic, cellular, and body’s structural level as exemplified by His direct action in delivering wrath upon those who disobey at multiple points in history.

Medicines and therapies must be limited to repairing damage and restoring God’s original design of the “code of life”.

I have been made in the image/likeness of The Creator and altering the Creator’s design, be it short or long term, with mRNA technology is in direct violation of His Law and thus of my sincerely held religious beliefs.”

This is not the end of the discussion. It is the beginning. I am interested in the reaction to this line of moral reasoning as we deal with the great issues brought forth through giant leaps in science.
